Well done Vicki. You have another impressive image and Marti gave it another notch. No, it did not need a stroke.

Mike, while Marti had the water flowing down in her mind, I would have considered using the tree trunk coming in and the branches overflowing the frame. Now you have two ideas to work with.

I appreciate all your comments and yes, I can probably make all those changes, but it may be easier if I start all over again.
As mentioned in Marti’s comments, my image is also too large for the frame. I think that all of us have the impression that we have to over emphasize the ‘Out Of The Border’ effect. But I notice in many other images that the subtle overflow of an image gives a pleasing to me. I also think that the diagonal frames are the most dramatic.

John, you also met the requirements of the assignment very well and the diagonal frame gives the image that 3D effect as well. For improvement, I agree with Peggy, you can extend more dirt and shadow along with the truck. I would consider making the right side of the frame a bit larger or the truck smaller, soften the background and eliminate part of the drop-cloth on the rear cart, which leads the eye out of the frame and straiten the entire image.

Beautiful outcome, color and action and I agree with the previous three comments. However, I think you took away some of the action by boxing the horse and rider in such a small frame. Showing more of the bottom and a larger frame would give this a better prospective. Never the less, you can be proud of the result.

Marti and Jerry make two good points to consider and I agree that you did a very good job. Angling the frame is more dramatic and kind of a 3D effect. I would also like to see a little more room around the flowers.

Marti, overall you did a beautiful job, as well as eliminating the railings, but the two stumps at the bottom draw attention, which makes the missing hoofs of the horses more obvious. As in my picture, I think that in comparison with the frame, the images are too big. Perhaps that with the frame more rectangular and a bit more room at the top, would make the image more natural. The one picky thing I notice, perhaps because I have trouble with it too, is that the frame right side that is a smidgen larger than the other three… Yes, I did say it was picky.

Yes Marti & Jerry, I agree with both your concerns. So I have made a modification with the help of another picture and Layer> Layer Via Copy. But now it creates a problem of the hand being cut off. |
