Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
87 Jun 20 Comment Yes I prefer that but that's just a personal preference. I'd be curious as to what the rest of the group thinks. Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Comment I like the image just the way it is - looks very balanced and the right side being brighter my mind says there is a window. I do like the idea of the puzzle being partially completed. Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Comment Excellent extraction. I admire your skill. My personal preference is to see the subject anchored to the ground if it is not normally seen in flight. I'd be tempted to try a might tighter crop to focus on the head, shoulders and just a bit of the legs. Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Comment Nice job Dale. There appears to be a small wire that intersects with the barn and it is bugging me but it may be because I just watched a video on removing distractions in PS. That said, maybe the wire is part of the scene like mole on someones face - you can remove it but it is them. Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Comment You have great colour in the image, very peaceful. I'd agree with Jennifer's comment about seeing the top of the tree in the reflection. Or crop more of it out. Right now it is too close.

Thank you for sharing

87 Jun 20 Comment Thanks Lance for your words of wisdom. Based of what you set to accomplish I'd say you accomplished your goal. The image really gives a feeling of the openness of the location. I think your image shows how different captures can made at the same location. All evoke different feels of emotion. Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Reply Jennifer that is a beautiful image. Love it Jun 9th
87 Jun 20 Comment Thank you everyone for the comments. I didn't crop the marsh shot so those red berries are not available. With respect to Spirit Island Im going to do another version with the sky less underexposed and see how my wife likes it. Jun 9th

87 Jun 20 Comment Steven, nice sharp capture on the squirrel. I like the change of the background but I can see some of the effects of the selection on the right side of the tail. That being said, I could not have done as well as you. My personal preference would be to blur the tree trunk, or possibly darken a bit to add some separation from the animal. Jun 1st
87 Jun 20 Comment Here is the almost original Just a slightly different shutter speed Jun 1st
87 Jun 20 Comment Thanks Chan

Regarding image 2 the processing was all done in Lightroom. I warmed the image a bit, cropped, adjusted the white and black points, added a bit of a grad filter to add drama to the skies and a bit of highlight to the island as I wanted to draw your eye to it. I'm on my iPad at the moment but I'll try and add the original for comparison.

I would appreciate comments on the post processing. Is it too much? I was trying to make a nice art piece.
