I like the b & w version better... fewer distractions... and more focus on the joy... |

I like the b & w version better (especially Angela's version) but I agree the colour shows more detail. |

Such a fun and creative shot Angela! The bubbles add a dynamic, almost effervescent quality to the image, making the kiwi feel fresh and full of energy. The enhanced color really makes the fruit pop, and the crop keeps the composition clean and focused. I also like the balance between sharp details in the bubbles and the softness of the fruit's texture.
A square crop could be an interesting experiment, as Ian suggested, but this version works beautifully as is. Great and inspiring composition! |

This is a beautifully composed still life! The selective color treatment works wonderfully, making the red rose stand out against the striking black-and-white tones. Your attention to detail in adjusting the reflections, vignette, and contrast really elevates the mood of the image. The balance of light and shadow adds depth, and the wine glass has a lovely, almost ethereal quality.
I also appreciate the thought process behind replacing the cork with the rose-it adds a romantic and timeless feel. Fantastic work, and it's great to see how you continue refining your craft! |

Janet, this is such a creative and beautifully executed image! The hibiscus itself is already striking, but the added reflection effect takes it to another level. I agree that the B&W version has a surreal quality-it really enhances the texture and contrast of the petals while making the ripples stand out more dramatically. The composition feels very balanced, and the deep black background gives it a bold, almost ethereal presence.
