49 Oct 22 Reply Hi Josh... sorry to take so long to get back to you... I could have mis-interpeted the image but it appeared that the shot was taken in a distance from above the trees viewing both in the state of calm that you were aiming for. Oct 29th
49 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for the help Josh! Oct 29th
49 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Alan! Oct 29th

49 Oct 22 Reply Yes - she was focused on her project and I was focused on improving my shots.... we both forgot she was also a model ... lol Next time we will remeber to remove the mask. Thanks David! Oct 29th
49 Oct 22 Reply Yes I plan to get back to Lightroom classes to improve editing with my camera. I am experimenting with composition, light, and space. The negative space appeared to be more dramatic. Thanks for the question Josh. Oct 29th
49 Oct 22 Comment Craig, During the time I was in the Apple store I took many shots and wondered about the lighting as it did appear that many of the images did well in the light. Because my granddaughter is one of my favorite subjects I noticed the difference in the results in the Apple stores and other settings -- but honestly I did not understand why.

When I purchased my first Cannon I took it to the creatives at the Apple Store and they unpacked it and demonstrated how to use the camera and edit. I had multiple libraries in Aperture - now dormant. I am learning Lightroom but it has been slow. However, I once took my vacations and studied photography with tutors in nearby Apple stores. I now take my granddaughter and we study together - although I must admit she is more fascinated with videos rather than still photos.

Thanks too for the kind words at the end about the shirt and the time spent.

49 Oct 22 Comment Creative image and editing brings this photo to life. The blue sky background adds to the wow factor. The eyes are so well defined that they almost pop off the page. Well done. Oct 9th
49 Oct 22 Comment Simply stunning. I was in Scotland a few weeks ago and the landscape is spellbinding. I think you have captured its essence and the sky adds to the photo storytelling. Oct 9th
49 Oct 22 Comment I think it works as a silhoutte but I am distracted by the lower images around it. I like the tree reaching up towards the sky then bending as if it was defeated in its bout for life. Oct 9th
49 Oct 22 Comment Love the depth in the image. I would like more contrast in the colors. Also cropping on the left could help to focus more on the road. I really like the winding of the road upward toward the sky but not finding the sky. Oct 9th
49 Oct 22 Comment Love the light shining through into the room- almost metaphoric compared to the darkness surrounding it. The image is busy, I am not sure if more focus could be on the light if it was cropped more on the right. Well done. Oct 9th
49 Oct 22 Comment The image is almost surreal. I like the clarity in the trees and the smooth flow of the water. While I like the trees, I feel like I am missing something... maybe it is the sky but I realize this is an ariel view. Overall I am engaged and enjoy the image.
