Dicky welcome to the group! The group has already given you several technical suggestions -- I have none to add.
However, if a picture could tell a thousand words -- this one does. The image captures the beauty of the beach and the caring of the couple; everyone looks serene - even the dog. |

Wow! I love the orignal image of shadows on winding steps -- creeping upward passed naked trees and on to the light. Awesome composition, clarity, sharpness, and detail. |

David, I have collected art for years and the majority of images in my collection are abstracts. I like the freedom of the abstract to speak to individuals differently. The beauty of an abstract -- for me is that it is not a visual of reality -- I have several pieces in my collection that have the feel of your image.
However, I have never been a juror and hence, I am not sure of the criteria for the composition. Good luck in the competition! |

Craig welcome! Your first image to the group is stunning. I appreciate the story of how the model was framed in remnanet red lace --creative on many levels.
I have no comment on the eyes. I found the red "costume" drew my eyes more to the lips because they were similar to the reflection of the red frame. |

Others have shared more than I can on how to technically improve the image. I love the color, culture, and story of the dancers in costume superimpose on a cold winter urban background. An East meets West story. |

Craig ,Thank you so much... the alternate image is beautiful. I especially appreciated the cropping to focus more on the bird and the clarity and sharpness of the image using PS. David thank you for the tips on the shutter speed. I am not sure if my Canon does tracking -- but I will investigate.
It was a challenging shot and thank you all for helping me to improve. |
