I will try cropping the image more for the portrait affect. I am headed to Chile and Costa Rico next week and will try the shutter speed suggestion if I get the opportunity.... lots of traditional dancing in both countries. |

I like the image; I truly enjoy viewing the winding vines adding natural color as if nature is trying to open man's door.
The sign does not distract me as I think it is part of the local color of urban living. What I think is distracting is the partial image of the door (or window) to the right. While the distinct lines are sharp and interesting, they take the focal point away from the all the amazing details in the door on the left. I suggest cropping such that the focus of the image is only on the door. |

The image is visually magical. The colors are vibrant in the sky contrasting to the white and clear colors in the winding path below. It almost makes me feel warm about the cold winter.
I agree with Barbara's request to see the before and after. I only dream of creating images this bold and powerful. It would be nice to see the image before editing. |

This shot is spectacular! I almost feel as if I was in the stands and time stopped just for me to see a good view of the truck. I think you achieved your stated objectives; action in the tires, visuals of the drivers etc. Pity the images, and difficulty in capturing them, were not appreciated in the local contests. |

Thank you Alan. It was a great trip. I agree with you a full view would have been better. I was sitting far in the back and the dancers were moving fast. I had a few other shots but they were fuzzy and I was not able to adjust. Thanks for the feedback! |
