I always love the texture of old metal objects. You did a good job capturing that texture here. I also really like how the reflections look in the image. I am glad that David had some suggestions for the lighting, as that is not an area I have done much with. It sounds like his suggestions would also help reduce the amount of work you would have to do removing the specular highlights as well. Good job with the focus stacking. I think I have mentioned to you before that it is something that I have been wanting to try, but haven't gotten around to yet. |

I love the details and textures of the slippers. I agree that showing a bit of the floor would add to the image, but overall I really like how you processed the background. It really keeps my eye on the feet rather than roaming around the edges. |

This is an interesting subject with a lot of potential. I agree with the other comments that it should be straightened. I know that when we are traveling we don't always have the option to return when the light or sky is better, so there may have been nothing you could have done about the overcast sky. Sometimes when I have a boring gray sky, I try converting the image to black and white. Doing so would also draw attention to the details and patterns of the tower's architecture. |

I really like this image. I especially like how the petal on the right s out a bit. As far as suggestions for improvement, I once took a photography class at one of our local gardens and that teacher would have suggested that you have someone hold something above the flower (he used a bit of foam core board or a reflector) to even out the light a bit. Maybe even reflect a little light towards the bottom of the flower and stem. I was impressed by how an 18X11" piece of foam board could make such a difference. Overall though, I like what you did. The flower stands out nicely from the background and the petals have nice texture to them. |
