I agree with Al about the crop, I was going to suggest the same thing. I like how the silhouette of the bird on the right you can see its legs giving it separation from the ground/rock. The two birds on the left merge into the ground/rock/foreground and a little bit into each other (it looks like the smaller one is standing on the bigger one). I think cropping to the remove them makes a stronger image overall. |

I love taking pictures of plants and flowers that are a bit past their prime. I think the textures and shapes created by the fading leaves and petals are really interesting. I like the original crop for the reasons you stated (grounding the petals/flowers) but I find that the one brown leaf at the bottom left of the stem a bit distracting. My eye keeps going there because it is a bit lighter. Perhaps if you were able to remove that one brown leaf or even just darken it, it would preserve the stem while removing the distraction. |

I really like this image. My favorite part is the way the trees frame the city and form a triangle. It makes it stand out from your basic cityscape. You have done a great job with the light and the time of day you chose. The sky has just enough clouds to add interest and color. Great job. |

I find this image very interesting. I like the eyes and gesture of the woman on the right. The image is a little blurry, but her face is the sharpest part of the image. It may not have been your intention, but the blur in the woman on the left gave me the feeling of her being a ghost or a spirit haunting the other woman. I agree that the background could be darkened a bit. Overall I love the story this composition tells. |

I really like the atmosphere of this image. The fog low to the ground coupled with the fog rising behind the trees is great. I find my eye bouncing between the two groups of horses. I think I would have preferred that only one of the two groups was included in the frame, but that is just personal preference. Overall I feel like it creates a great sense of place. Good job. |

It was a pretty slow shutter speed given I was hand holding my 300 mm lens. I should have upped the ISO.
