I agree with everyone else about the gray box. I think cropping in so that you eliminate the distraction and allow the viewer to notice the reflections in the sunglasses is an excellent suggestion. I like the idea of the sign that contrasts with the people standing there, but it would be much more effective if you could find an angle that would get the sign closer to the people. |

I like your choice to crop out the cobblestones. I also like the blurred people. It gives it a sense of time passing by a building that has stood for centuries. The one item that kept stopping my eye from wandering over the image was the starburst in the middle close to the middle of the frame. |

I love all of the triangles you make with the pose of the dancer. The eye does pull me in and I like how the blue of the eye mirrors the blue of the sky. |

I really like the colors in this image. It conveys a feeling of summertime and joy. I see what Alan is saying about a subject. I think the culprit in this image is the one bud that is dead center and framed by the diamond formed by crisscrossing stems. It is also one of the brighter buds in the image. My eye keeps being drawn there. With out the placement of this bud, I think that I would see it more the way Fred describes. |

I agree with the others about the distracting elements. Waiting another minute or two would have the feet out of the frame and the tortoise would probably be in the same position. The hot spots on the ground near the bottom and side of the image pull the eye away from the subject. If you shoot in RAW, then you may be able to bring them down in post processing (with lightroom or photoshop). If not, I would try cropping the image to have a close up of the tortoise's head and a sliver of its shell. |

I love the action you caught here. The water drops frozen in mid air do a great job of conveying motion and action. The background is nicely blurred, yet interesting in the different bands of color. I agree that in a perfect world the paw wouldn't be blocking the face, but you did an excellent job with what you were given. |
