This is a case of me wondering what you want to convey with the image. I like it because it has a dreamlike quality to it. The symmetry and the reflections give me the feeling that the land is floating in the sky. I really like it and the middle horizon works well. If what you want is a more realistic depiction of the scene, then Tom's edit would be a better option. It is less symmetrical and more grounded. Both options work in their own way. Personally I found the original edit more interesting because it is different than other landscapes I have seen. |

Excellent job getting a good shot of the expression on his face. It is not easy to do with big hoods that like to block the light from a subject's eyes. I agree that a little more the sled would help with context, the bit that is showing looks a lot like the top of my snow blower. Based on other images you shared and the bib, I know what is going on - but if this image is not accompanied by others in a series, context would add to the story. |

Nicely done. I love photographing skippers. You nailed the depth of field and composition. Nicely done. One nitpick is that there appears to be a little noise in the background on my monitor. Not sure if that is my monitor, or maybe a tad oversharpened. It is not enough to really bother me or make a difference overall, but I thought I would point it out in case it is something that just needs to be dialed back a smidge. |

The others commented on the softness of the image, so I wanted to look at overall composition. What I like about these flowers is they remind me of a bird (hence the name) so I would frame it like a bird with more room on the right hand side to give it room to move. |

I like this one a lot. I don't think it looks too staged. A lot of graduates look for and wave to their family in the crowd. I think you captured the story of the day wonderfully. |
