You did an excellent job finding an interesting subject. I like the different textures you captured. The nice thing about macro photography is you can practice on small things around the house when the weather is bad or too cold to go out. Then, when you are outside and spot a good subject you will be more comfortable with the technique and settings. |

I like the story this tells. Like Graham my first instinct was that I wanted to see more of the context, but agree that it probably wasn't practical for you to go wider. I definitely see the green in the shadows and attributed that to night photography coupled with a light source causing a cast nearby. The hay also seems unnaturally bright yellow, but that could just be how it was or the same thing causing the green cast. Overall it is a great image that I image adds to the larger story with the others from the event. |

Was it snowing at the time? I thought that the streaks may be snow falling that is more visible on the darker dogs. |

I also like how you cropped the shot and framed it with the flowers. I agree with Tom about lightening up the eye a little to see if you can bring out a catch light or twinkle. |

Nice job with the shutter speed for the propeller. I also really like that you can see the pilot's face. It adds to the story in my opinion. |

It is a beautiful shot with or without the people. Personally, I prefer the people because it makes it different from all the other sunset/sunrise pictures you see. |
