Andrew, thanks for the comments. Yes, I can remove the left hanging leaf which would improve the image. |

Don, I have been slow in responding to your post. I just now had time to examine Neural filters. I note a number of plans and things to do. I am contemplating what to do. Do you have any recommendations on a plan for Photoshop and how to start learning how to use Neural filters? |

Catherine, you continue to always have an eye for the unusual. I like the repetition of red floats scattered through the pots. And I like the pots themselves. Great work! |

Ling Ling, I think you have captured the quiet beauty of sunset at Fuji. To make the scene more abstract you could use a tripod or set your camera on an object and use a neutral density filter or slower ISO and a slower shutter speed. You could also not focus your lens sharply so the image is soft.
It looks to me as though the sun is setting behind a tall tree on the point. Do you have an image before the sun is setting behind the tree? That might make the image softer.
I like that the volcano is not centered in the image and that the ships add interest to the foreground. Nice sunset picture!
The others have some good ideas. |

Janice, this is a perfect portrait of a proud, haughty Frenchman displaying his tasty nougat. Your post processing is good. I would be tempted to crop in on the right and bottom but not much. Nice work! |

Well Don, I think you have paid a masterful tribute to a magnificent plane and to your love of aviation. Let's see if I can capture all the elements blending to make this a monumental image.
Your placement of where you took the picture with two lines leading to the Connie set the stage. The strong sun, shadows, and chrome reflections all highlight the plane. The clouds fill the sky with interest. The observers scattered about the plane and runway add context. The use of a 19mm lens positioned to fill the picture frame is classic. Great work!
The comments of the others are useful but I think your capture is perfect.

Julie, I like the way you have captured the plight of the farmers and how they must deal with the weather conditions. Nice post processing: you cropped in on the bottom and deleted the fence. I would not crop in on the right to give the tractor some room to move into.
The comments of the others catch the disaster the farmers are facing. |

Andrew, I like the oblique line of the ladder and the contrast of shadows and highlights. I think the window is necessary to balance the image. There are some small, barely perceptible vertical lines which could be removed. Do you call this an abstraction?
Now, having read the comments of the others, I understand this image more thoroughly. |
