Catherine, I like your isolation of the plant stem poking through the ice, the ice imperfections and the shadows. In Bridge Camera Raw I did some minor cropping, increased the contrast, and some minor playing with some of the other sliders. These are minor adjustments. Your eye captured the essence.

Ling Ling, I think you captured a beautiful impressionistic image of the yellows and greens of Alaska. May I suggest you see the work of Charles Needle on the internet and get his book Impressionistic Photography which has a number of techniques for doing what you are doing. |

Janice, I think this is a great image of the berries and the moon. I'm not sure what the concept of negative space is so I can't comment on that. |

Julie, I like your capture of shadows and the vertical lines of the building. However, I feel the profusion of power lines is a little much. In Bridge Camera Raw I took out the top two power lines (rather poorly) to see if it simplified the image. Maybe a little but I can't seem to post it here.

Andrew, I like the mystic feeling of this image, the sunset sky, the wharf, the ship and the lone seabird in the sky. I would be tempted to crop in a little on the bottom.
I like Don's pano as a good alternative but he lost the seabird which I think is an integral part of your image. |

Hi Don, I like what you did in sharpening and texture. I am into experimenting so anything out of the ordinary interests me.
Do you know the work of Huntington Witherill in Monterey, Ca.? https://huntingtonwitherill.com/. He is very versatile and extremely good at creating fine art images in post processing. I wish I could do 1% of what he does. I particularly like his Photo Synthesis series. |
