Ling Ling, I like this sunrise image. It captures the wild beauty of Alaska. I do not have any pertinent suggestions other than a very minor suggestion that you crop in a little more on the foreground. |

Janice, great image with lots of action and color! Lightening the dancer is good. As to darkening the background, what was your intent? If you wanted to show just the dancer, it was correct. But if you wanted to show the venue, then perhaps do not darken it so much.

Don you are a master at post processing, using Nik Color Efx and Photoshop! The tonality is right on including the snippets of rust on the corrugated metal siding.
I think that Julie's second image, post processing as you did, would also be an interesting image.
Nice work! |

Well Julie, I have never heard a laughing kookaburra but look forward to doing so.
I think your cropping is good but I would be tempted to leave a little more on the right side. I would also be tempted to lighten the image a little more (just a little) to bring out the color of the bird and highlight the eye. But this is nitpicking. This is a great image! |

Andrew, my first impression of this image is that I would like more of the hat showing, even part of her face. Then, after reading your text and understanding what you wanted to do, I agree with you decision not to show her face. I think you have captured one of the invisible people. |

Hi Julie,
I like your comments and understand your liking the original better. As the creator here, I will say I prefer the impressionistic version which can be soft. |
