Thanks Catherine. As to the yellow color, you may be correct. However, I will point out that it was early spring when the opening leaves have a yellow tinge and also the river is draining swamps and bogs to the north which produce water that has a brownish yellow tinge.

Hmm, Catherine, you always capture a feeling, a mood in your images. Great work. I like the diagonal of the fence line, the foreground footprints in the sand, and the fog or mist in the background. I can feel the coolness of early morning and the excitement of exploring alone before the rest of the world becomes alive.
I see and like what Don is doing but I think his version has lost the excitement of daybreak. Catherine, keep doing what you do so well! |

Well Ling Ling, I like clouds and I am going to disagree with you in that I like the clouds in the original image. Rain clouds in the mountains are just another part of the experience. But I do like your blue sky so either the original or post processed image is fine with me. Nice! |

Janice, I like your cropping to take out the foal. Personally I would be tempted to crop out the water and out of focus grass in the foreground as I don't think they really add to the story. But the horses - they are the center of interest and are beautifully done. Great! |

Don, I could pause and look at this image for a long, long time. I would think about the green grass in the foreground and the repetition of green patches in the background. Then I would think of the mountains and how enjoyable it would be to hike in them. The wonderful clouds add depth. And the lone tree is the center of interest from which my eyes travel.
The hill on the left? I could crop it out but that is just personal taste. You did a nice, thoughtful job! |

Julie, nice capture of the flooded river including the reflection in the water. Your final image captures the the pink glow of dusk but as a stand alone image,I prefer your original shot. |

Andrew, nice, nice shot of a red deer looking at you. I personally would be tempted to crop out a little of the foreground. Don Hill has nice comments. |

Hi Don, thanks for the comments and yes, I think a slower shutter speed would have been better. |
