Catherine, you always see something interesting and meaningful when you are out. The dead trees mirror the abject starkness of the abandoned house. Great use of a wide angle lens. How would it look if you cropped out the barrels? |

Ling Ling, what a wonderful soft image this is with the petals showing on the trees and gently covering the ground beneath.
Now, what if you had moved closer to the tree on the left and crouched down close to the ground? It might draw in the viewer more. Janice had some good ideas for getting a slower shutter speed and catching falling petals. |

Janice, I like the way your leaf expands as it extends skyward and that you included out of focus background objects. Further, the expansion of the fan as it goes skyward really gives the image strength. I love the gentle curve of the whole leaf. |

Don, your working in post processing has really turned a snapshot into a work of art. Black and white works. The ropy twists of the trunks stand out and repeat the branching of what is one tree. Wonderful work.
I find the comments of the others interesting as they have seen things I did not see but I still like your first posting best. |

Andrew, the most interesting thing of this image is the woman looking intently at the sculpture and her husband looking down at the ground as though he wasn't interested in the art. Differences in what one person likes and another doesn't. Isn't that how real life is. |

Julie, working with the slant of the slats is a good idea. |
