Thanks Catherine. As I did this originally, I wanted to use the boat, background building, and posts as scene setters. I still like the original but the cropping's above are just as valid. |

Julie, your idea of cropping out the boat does concentrate the image on the people. Good idea. |

Catherine, the affection of the two wild ponies are an instant attraction in this stunning image. The muted background is perfect.
The white bar in the lower left and the white spot behind one of the horse's eye I would be tempted to spot out.
Nice work!
Ah, now I see Don agrees with me. |

Nice composition and nice milky capture implying movement, Ling Ling. The diagonal wave in the background heightens the feeling of motion. It would be nice if you had included the original image so we we could see your cropping. |

Don, I think you captured the typical weather of an Alaskan cruise heightened by Silver Efex and black and white. Wouldn't it be nice to have some kayakers in the foreground but this just doesn't happen does it. |

This is a wonderful action shot Julie. The waves, the water, and the pose of the surfer are perfect. I don't know if it had been possible where you were standing, but if you could have crouched down, it would have placed the surfer higher on the horizon which would have added to the sense action. |

I like the people, Andrew, and think they really add. Your post processing is the final touch. I wish you had included the original so we could see what you had started with. |
