Catherine, you were in the right place at the right time for a stunning image. If this were mine, I would tone down the pilings so the center of interest is Relentless.
Julie and Don have good suggestions. |

Jamie, your starfish capture is great. In LR or PS you could mask the surrounding background a bit. Nice job. |

Don, what a difference between the original and your final image after post processing. Your final black and white image is stunning! The foreground log captures ones eye and leads into the background where on the upper left you have brought out the distant ridges. I do not have any suggestions to make to this wonderful landscape. |

Julie, I really prefer the color version of the dandelion which is stunning. The background (a stone wall?) I would make a little more indistinct but that is just a personal preference. I love the sharpness and the slight green tonality of the stem parts. |

Andrew, your post processing really makes this image jump and become extraordinary! As to your cropping, I would not crop the top so that all of the windows are visible. Gdreat job!

Nadia, I really like your composting of the beautiful young woman on a beach and the highlighting of the keyhole. I'm not sure that the lightning and raindrops fit with the light skin tones of the woman. And I have trouble with the peep hole. My concept of a peep hole is looking into some enclosed or hidden place whereas here you are looking into the great wide outdoors, a beach. After having said all of that, I think your composting is awesome. |

Well Tom, another image to puzzle me. Daydreams - I would think the woman would be having daydreams pulling a curtain back and glancing out the window. The monkey? To me it doesn't fit as can a monkey have daydreams? But maybe I am too constricted in my thinking. Now to see the comments of the others.
Wow, Brad, Brian, and Nadia really have some interesting comments which do dig deeply into your image.
To me there are three different subimages here. The woman in formal dress and pose speak of beauty. The location in a virtually empty room with liquids spreading across the floor speak of desertion and the monkey speaks of the animal world. For me they do not combine into shall we say happy daydreams.
Tom, keep your creative ideas bubbling forth!

Well Brian, this is an adventure into the unknown. Red, hmmm, red often signals danger such as red stop lights. But in the red, there is no indication or hint of what the red is indicating. Black, that could be the ground or the darkness of night, but again there is no hint to direct my mind.
Ok, red, fire maybe? But there are no embers or crackling flames. I'm stumped. Unfortunately I have a low tolerance for being stumped so I give up.
So is this what you wanted to see - what I would think and do? Now I am curious to see the response of those above me so I will read their posts.
Ah, now I have read the other posts and your responses. For me, as one individual, I question what I am looking at and seek some clues to guide me in the abstraction. Interesting. Does this indicate that as an individual I am more or less creative in my thinking.
Brian, I'm really looking forward to the challenges you put to me and the other commentators in the coming months. |

Hmm, Hazel you had a truly deep concept when you put this together, a concept which I did not catch. I did not perceive the grim reaper, rather thinking it was just texture on the wall. Perhaps you could darken the grim reaper slightly so that he becomes more apparent.
Brian and Brad have some good ideas. Please keep at your creative images. |

Brad, this is a wonderful combination of land and water. I think the blending of the two has been skillfully done and finished with the Topaz texture filter.
Now I have read the comments of the others who have analyzed your image more deeply than I did and have made some good suggestions. How interesting how we all read an image differently. |
