Lin, you have captured the magic moment of sunrise when the atmosphere is clean and sharp. I like the dual tone of the sky, probably from a blanket of clouds.
Were it me, I would let the sun rise a little more to highlight the foreground and I would crop out some of the foreground. But what you have done is beautiful and your personal response. |

Jamie, in looking at this I can just feel the serenity of the sunset and the finish of another day. I might try to lighten slightly the foreground beach to achieve a little more detail. The inclusion of people heightens the appreciation of the sunset. Beautiful, beautiful. |

Don, Richard Greene is certainly prolific and versatile. I need to look at his work more closely. Have fun in Alaska in May. I presume you will have mosquito repellant or netting in your gear. |

Hmm Don, you showed me a new view of my favorite city which Herb Cane, a San Francisco Chronicle writer back in the 1970s, used to call Bagdad by the Bay. You have exquisitely captured the tonalities of the buildings probably in early morning sun. The repetition of rectangles and the close cropping really center a viewer's interest. Your post processing is the finishing touch. I have searched but can find no suggestions to make.
As to cropping on the right, I would fall with those saying your original crop is correct. The lightness draws one's eye about the image as do the other light areas in windows thus imparting a sparkle and motion to the image.
Padma Inguva's cityscapes are interesting as you suggest. |

Julie, great action capture with backlighting on the neck. The flex of the two primary feathers on the left wing imparts great action. Your post processing is the finishing touch on a great image. I have nothing to add. Great picture! |

Andrew, this speaks to me of a starkly exposed lighthouse sitting on a point with cold, foggy gales sweeping in from the open ocean. The dehaze tool enhances the feeling. The composition is deftly handled. There is nothing I can add.
Great image! |

Hi Nigal,
You did a wonderfu job of improving this image! I will use your steps to improve other images of that era. |

Lisa, the Belt Lacer to me looks like a closeup of an insect head with paired antennae sticking up. Funny, I just have a hard time preventing myself trying to make objects into something I know when I know you are being creative and abstract. I love your creativity and have nothing to add.

Naida, brilliantly conceived. To take a box and make it into a cavern entrance where a young man is in contemplation is really creative. The moon and the bird silhouettes are completing touch.
I do not have anything to add. |

Brian, as always you have powerful suggestions that add greatly. I am going to have to think more about this. I included the couple because I wanted to make the connection that the exploding human race is what is destroying the world and the natural order of things. We humans with our powerful minds are still not able to limit our own global population. |

Hazel, thanks for your comments. I struggled with how to express my thoughts on spreading pollution and refrained from being to graphic. But you are right, the message was not clearly stated. If I had an image of lemmings, it might have worked better but maybe too stark. |

Brad, you truly captured the exuberance of your dog as it bounds in joy across the grass. The Avenue of the Giants is a nice backdrop to the dog. The motion blur accentuates the activity. I wonder if applying the motion filter to your dog rather than to the trees would be more dramatic. Great image!
Brian has some thoughtful suggestions. |

Tom, this is another one of your fantasy creations which defy preconceptions. Alice in Wonderland it is. Your relative sizes work with you being smaller than the other objects. The lightbulb I have a little difficulty understanding how it creates to the creation. Nice work! |

Brian, for me the colorful twirls make the image, then highlighted by the frame within a frame to show where you started from. This will spur me on to greater efforts on my own part. I have nothing to add to your exquisite artistry. |

Hazel, this is a beautiful composition of hellebore flowers which you arranged in flowers. The textures you added intensify the image. I look forward to your creations and ideas as we progress month by month. |
