Well, Catherine, you had fun with this bullet hole, a wonderful abstraction! I like it. My personal suggestion would be to crop in slightly more tightly on the blue bullet hole so that it does not get lost in a large field of abstract lines. |

Jamie, I really like your image which is iconic in black and white. My taste, I would lighten it slightly to imply a sunlit day with passing thunderhead clouds.
I think the original color version also has some possibilities after some post processing.
I like Don Hill's comments because he goes so far in his post processing. It challenges me to do more. |

Don, I like the way you have isolated the repetitive bike seats and converted the image into black and white. The only suggestion I would make and it is minor, would be to slightly tone down the repetitive hot spots on the seats.
Nice job! |

Thanks Andrew. Cloning out the light spots are a good suggestion. |

Thanks for your comments Catherine. Yes, I see the slight grid that you noticed. I'm not sure where that came from, perhaps post processing in PS Camera Raw. |

Julie, I think you captured an exciting image and did a perfect job in post processing. The excitement in the man's face and wake from the surfboard add to the interest. The blur of the background concentrates the viewer's eye on the figure. If possible, you might try blurring the sea-beach line a little more. |

Great image Andrew! I like that the statue and the background buildings are all in sharp focus. The shadows of the statue add to the beauty of the image.
I have no suggestions to make. |

Lisa, this is a great creation. I like the red bleeding hearts, the green background, and the heart.
Brad and Nadia have insightful comments. |

Nadia, great composite in which all of the elements work and fit together. The dog, maybe you could turn its head to be looking in the same direction as the man and child.
The others have interesting observations. |

Tom, hmmm, I have a little difficulty getting the concept of metamorphosis but it is there. I throughly like the way you have put this image together into an artistic creation.
Now it is interesting to read the other comments and learn what they are seeing. |

Thanks Nadia. I tried the burn tool as you suggested and it did bring back a little detail in the yellow petals but it doesn't really show in this low quality jpeg.

Brad, nifty continuation of your flower theme! I personally like the blur effect of the petals. My personal artistic preference, but no better than yours, is to have the surfer coming in from the lower left.
Nice image!
Now, after reading the other comments, I think I missed your point and the others caught it. Nice work. |
