Just to play the devil's advocate, I like the complexity of your image because I can spend time looking at various parts. I linger looking at all the detail and imagine being there and exploring. |

Stan, you notched it! As a Minnesota resident I know loons are hard to photograph. |

Marcela, as a virtually life long resident of Duluth, Minnesota on the shore of Lake Superior, I think you did a magnificent job. I humbly suggest you might lighten the rock face so the lichen and bedding show more. |

Alison, you are correct. There is a hair. Hereafter I will examine my images more closely and take out dust/hairs. Thanks. |

Hi Anne,
As you suggested, I took out the leaf which improves the image.
Contax for a few years produced a medium format camera which used attachable backs so that you could attach a film back or a digital back. If you search on Ebay, I am sure you can find used cameras and backs. |

Catherine, great that you are so willing to experiment and try new things. To me this is an impressionistic image in which there doesn't necessarily need to be a real composition. I admire it the way it is. Nice job! |

Alison, nice job with your phone. I think this is a beautiful silhouette as is and have no suggestions to make. |

Jamie, if the Palouse area is as beautiful as your image, then I need to go there myself. Wonderful landscape capture!
I know you did not want to blow out the grass but I think you could lighten the image slightly without ill effect.

Anne, this is beautiful! And I agree with you that black and white fits this image.
Bowing to my personal taste, I would crop some off the bottom and right side so the two trees are a little less centered.
Now looking at Catherine's post, I see she feels the same way.

Julie, this is a great image of spoonbills on their nest. I find the two thin branches, one on the upper right and one in the center, a little distracting. Here I used the PS spot healing brush to take them out.
What do you think? |

Andrew, nice idea putting together two horse power. You might intensify the colors of the one horse power sign to make it more obvious. I like the repetition of the circles. You might tone down and diffuse the background to make the horse and machinery stand out more. |

Lisa, such a startling and magnificent image! The composition of the single image is appealing; the cloud stacking technique heightens the appeal. Your Olympus EM1 is really versatile. |

Lisa, I am enticed by the flowing lines and varying colors of Rainbow Flower. It is astounding that you can start with a brown bull and end up with Rainbow Flower. I cannot think of any suggestions to make.
Thanks for posting your steps so we can try the process ourselves. |

amazing, Maryellen, truly amazing! How you can start out with your original and end up with skater is truly magic. There is so much energy and action flowing out of this image. The figure coming out of the image, the perfect curve of the sheet and the background lines all work together. A 10 star image!
Now, having read the comments of Lisa and Kathy, I can see these minor points which I didn't note before. But I think this is magnificent. |

Kathy, you are indeed a mentor for us in being creative! To take 7 images and blend them in a composite of a 2020 Rumplestiltskin is challenging but you did it so well. Rumplestiltskin and the Millers daughter are deftly posed but that is just the beginning as the background has so much to be examined and appreciated. There must be a story to the ironing board room image. A 10 star image! |

Brad, I'm amazed at how 'alive' your image has become in Topaz Studio 2. Your processing sounds quite intricate and involved to achieve a beautiful result. I have no suggestions to what is a strikingly beautiful image. Bravo! |

Thanks Maryellen. There are just infinite ways in which one can work with flowers, both outside and inside during Minnesota winters. |
