Hi Moira,
I think you have done an excellent job of improving my photo. I did want to keep the cross visible and also the assembled participants at the memorial service. |

Catherine, this is a great concept and a great implimentation of it. I can picture myself beside a still pool of water lost in my own thoughts or observing the natural word unfolding about me, a moment in time.
Ok, now how would I change it. To me the sheet of water in the upper left corner is mildly distracting. It would be difficult to clone out. How about cropping in on the left side and cropping down from the top? Would it still retain your original vision? Your call |

Alison, you chose a project and really searched it out! Great going!
Astronomy has never been one of my interests so in all honesty I can't really add meaningful comments other to say keep doing and exploring it photographically. |

Jamie, you have a captivating arraythe fall colors and the array of mailboxes captivating.
To me, but maybe not to others, the horizontal line of mailboxes stops my eye. I wasn't there to see the lay of the land but if it had been possible, could you have walked either to the left or right so that the line of mailboxes went diagonally across the image and still included a good amount of fall color? Perhaps you could be close to one end of the mailboxes leading diagonally into the background.
Now having read Jamie's comments, perhaps you were trying for a more rectangular image which you have captured admirably. |

Moira, the excitement is there in the woman's candid laugh, the Christmas timing is great. This is a perfect photographic capture!
Critique: to me the lights seem too bright and distracting. Could you burn them in or reduce their brightness in some way?
Alison has some interesting suggestions to try.

Andrew, this has instant eye catching characteristics! The gannet is sharp, the water is sharp, the action is evident from the splash of water.
Cropping? I looked long and hard to see how I would crop this.I like the water splashes in the lower left and upper center. I like that the gannet has room on the right to fly into. I think this is perfectly cropped as it is.
As to Sharon's version, it is a nice alternative but no better than yours. Alison's comments I think are right on.

Jim, wonderfully conceived and carried out project! What pleasure you must have had in working out scream.
I have no suggestions for further work except that the image might be just a tad brighter but maybe that is my monitor or eyes.
Jim, I will wait expectantly each month to see what you post.
Brad and Kathy have interesting comments. |

Ah Lisa, who would have thought that a denim factory could turn into such an artistic creation. Your understanding and use of PS tools are astounding. I cannot think of any suggestions. |

Jan, what a magnificent work of art you have conceived and created! The composition is there, the artistic background is there, the composting is there, the blending is there. I can't find anything to criticize and so give you a hearty bravo! |

Maryellen, I love this! You have taken a snapshot and turned it into a work of art.
For my taste I would allow a little more room on the top and right side so the camel's head is not so closely cropped.
I would agree with Kathy that including more details would be interesting.

Kathy, I love your inspiration and skilled composting!
For me, it might be a little stronger if the women and man were looking at each other. I wonder if toning down the man slightly would strengthen the image.
Now looking at the other comments, i feel they add interesting thoughts. |

Brad you are a master at composting! Your blending is impeccable. This is a wonderfully crisp and contrasty image. I like best the image with the monkey facing toward the fire.
I know what you mean by cycle of life but the relation of the title to the fire and forest might not be understood by all viewers. |
