Moira, this is a wonderful image captured under extremely difficult conditions! I like the color and the out of focus background. I like that you have three flowers as the artistic center of interest so this is really artistically appealing.
Now, to technically nitpick, it would be nice to have the second and third flowers slightly sharper. To get more depth of field in this situation, could you have used a wider zoom setting or a faster ISO and thus a smaller aperture to bring all three flowers into focus?
Your low angle works and as I read the above comments, I agree with them.

Moira, point well taken. But I wouldn't want to burn much as I feel the snappyness would be lost. |

Andrew, cropping tighter on the bottom. Well, yes and no. I can agree with you that it doesn't add much. But I would try to make the case that including part of the window frame and corner of the table helps set the scene that this is taken inside and not outside on the support structure. I could have done a better job of this by including more of the table in the image or by using a wider angle lens than my 24-105 zoom but the 14 mm lens was back in the hotel room. |

Catherine, this is a wonderful selection of objects in what must be an abandoned prison. You might try increasing the contrast in PS CC, Lightroom or one of the plug in software programs. |

Alison, great job of stacking and processing! Compositionally, I would like to see something in the foreground, maybe a vase on the balcony but as you say you were concentrating on the HDR process. |

I like this image which captures the venue, captures the intensity of the rider and is sharp. personally I would like to darken the white spot behind the helmet so that it would not detract. I usually prefer color and do so in this case. Nice work! |

Hi Donna,
Yes, I did get most of what I wanted. It would have been nice to have a 14mm lens to include the restaurant of the Eiffel Tower but it was back in the hotel.
You provided interesting information that it is illegal to photograph the Eiffel Tower lighted at night. But enforcing that must be difficult.
Donna, your posting in Group 24 of "Ghost Town Church" certainly captures the feel of the West. I look forward to more of your west and National Parks postings.
You use Paint Shop Pro - I have thought of trying it but PS CC has enough challenges for me at the present time. |

Lisa, good point. I tend to overlook the small details. I will task myself to be more observant. |

Lisa, to me at first glance this a warrior mask or the again maybe a woven native basket which a friend creates.
And what artistic endeavor do you have planned for us in December? Whatever it is, it will be creative and interesting. |

Jan, 17 layers seems an intense task to me. I like this. To me it is like being in the bottom of the ocean where a volcano is bursting forth. I will dream about it tonight. |

Wow Kathy, you have a great creative imagination!! I would never be able to conceive this or blend together 22 layers into such a seamless image.
Keep at it and surprise us with more of your creative images! |

Brad, this works for me. My association would be that your friend is a biker and he is looking down on friends on adventure. B & w works well here. You might have the head tilted down slightly, as though watching the bikers.
Stephen and Kathy have some interesting ideas. |
