Thanks Catherine and welcome to the group.
I hope you will post a bio so we have an idea of where you live, what your interests are, and what your photographic background is. |

Andrew, I think the composition is a little too tight to attempt inserting an iconic location. And truthfully, a little too sophisticated an operation until I learn more. |

Andrew, the blob on the left hand side was probably a cloud reflection which might be hard to clone out.
Yes, an iconic Parisian location reflection would be helpful. |

Alison, nice image of Malaga. I haven't been in Spain but would like to visit.

Alison, I find the spot healing brush in the current version of PS is really amazing. If there is a wire or line, draw the brush along it to make it disappear. |

Andrew, I think you are correct that the wires make it more realistic and current which was your aim. But either image is good! |

Alison, wonderful capture of your brother showing the sequence of his shot.
Would it be better to leave out the image of his going in the opposite direction? To me it might seem more logical for him to be going one direction only in this sequence.
Bob has some interesting comments.
Nice job. |

Jamie, your Hawaiian orchid is a clean, simple image that catches one's attention! I think it is a stand alone image. What if you lightened a bit of the flower portion in the center bottom to make it more visible? |

Bob, this is a stand out attention getter! One's eye is immediately drawn to Evan's face and eyes, his direct look at the viewer. The background sets the stage. The composting is impeccable.
Thanks for answering Alison so completely as I also was interested in your technique. |

Prakhar, I will have to think about this. To me the top horizontal line helps define that this is a reflection in a plexidglas shield at the edge of the roof. Perhaps if I dodged the line so it weren't so obvious would help. |

Alison, that is a good suggestion to use an iconic portion of the city. And that would work well with any reflection. Some prevision before taking the picture! |

Prakar, this is just a wonderful image with the falls catchingd ones attention and leading it to the pool below. The clouds are a wonderful foil to the green forest and falls below. The post processing you chose make this a stand out image. Your story adds so much to a beautiful image.
And I am excited to see Bob's explanation of blending. |

Andrew, I like the interest of the engine operators and the woman, the puff of steam, and the engine itself. However, I thought the wires in the background were too busy. In PS cc 2018 in a a few minutes with the spot healing brush I was able to clone them out. What do you think?
Bob and Alison have interesting comments. |

Hi Jan, how does this look? I didn't have a horizontal but I cropped it as you suggested. Note, this is just the original image without post processing or using the Topaz simplify filter. |

Hi Brad,
Yes, a rock would change the balance so that's probably not a good suggestion. |

Lisa, you can take a mundane pussy willow and transform it into a stunning abstract art image! You are a master at being creative with PS and filters! Each month I look forward to see what you are doing. |

Bear and owl are really out there floating on that still water! Your composting of each element is really done beautifully. I like the light clouds which give such a bright happy feeling to the image.
My practical side says the bear in the stern of a small rowboat would have tipped it but being practical isn't what this image is about so let's delete this comment.
I think all the elements, the bear, the owl, the rocky background, the gulls just say this is the wonder of nature.
Jan, how about posting a bio so we know your background and where your photos are coming from. |

There is a lot of humor in this Sue!I think the composting and positioning is right on. As I don't do a lot of tv watching I had to google Jenny Craig to learn that it is a dieting program. |

Maryellen,
Welcome to the group and I will look for your creative vision as we move ahead.
Surreal! Maryellen, I am contemplating what this image means to me. The hands and the egret capture my attention immediately. The flowers signify that this is something to be light hearted, pretty, perhaps decorative that my wife would do in our living room. The water and hill background do not seem to relate to the hands, bird, and flowers in the foreground. So I see some beautiful elements but do not understand what their meaning is. Your technique is impeccable.
Tell me what you wanted to achieve and impart to your viewers. |

Kathy, this is a beautiful sunset beach image! The stars glisten, the water shimmers and reflects the light.
I have a little trouble with the mermaid - if you lowered her a little so that her fins are in the pool, I think it would tell the story better. |

Brad, you captured a feeling/mood of dusk and night time, enhanced by the darkness of the image. You ask, "any thoughts?"
Could you composte in a rock in the bottom right to give more of a sense of depth/movement and to be a foil for the rocks in the middle? |

Brad, good point. I should have found a bird or boat and composted it in. |
