Bob, I would take this to be a raptor portrait, perhaps a sparrow hawk. This shows great perception in that the bird is turning its head and has its foot raised, not a standard portrait pose.
Nice work!
The others have good comments and suggestions. |

Whimsical! That's what this is, whimsical. A cheese stick about to have it's eyes grated out.
The gray background color seems lifeless. Would a bright yellow background pep things up and enhance the mood of the picture? |

Jamie, this has an abstract feeling that I find attractive. The blue color I think adds because it is a counterpoint to the mostly warm colors.
The overall image appears dark to me. Could you lighten it up or do you want a dawn/dusk feeling? |

Prakhar, thank you for sharing with us this iconic picture of your country. Doing this in black and white gives added impact.
Would cropping out the left hand door strengthen the image?
Alison has a wonderful imagination that sees far more than I do!
Great image! |

Andrew, the simplicity of the wall painting is interesting and the colors stand out. Would cloning out the two signs make it even more effective? Nice work!
Now I have read Alison's creative whimsical thoughts which give a whole new feeling. Alison, I need to get out of my literal view of the world. |

Allison, welcome to group 40.
I'm having trouble identifying the little stucco house but that may be a problem of my laptop or me,
Having said that, I really like the image! The strong lines of the monorail and the high rise buildings and the way they intersect. I like the single figure which lends perspective. The lighting is good and everything is sharp. This is a time wrap. good work!

Allison, I like my 5D Mark III and am glad we can help each other.
image stacking really isn't that difficult; explaining the process is. in actuality, i think after doing it a few times it becomes easy. Google it for a simple tutorial to start you out. |

Thanks Lisa for your thoughtful and experienced comments. This is why I like the study groups - experienced comments that can help us all to grow and see things we weren't seeing. |

Jan, good suggestion. Your lifting of the shadows does even out the image and achieves what I was trying for. In the same vein, I wish I had reduced the shadows in the upper right part of the image. |

Good thought Brad - cropping off the gray would help. |

Lisa, this is wonderful work but perhaps because of my small laptop monitor I can't see the birds. I look forward to your work next month. |

Jan, this is your imagination working at it's best! It all works. I can't think of any further suggestions for 'Reservations at the Stardust'.
You are challenging me to be more creative. |

Sue, what a great idea so skillfully executed! Thirty four photos to make six images into a composite - you really worked hard to get them to all match so well!
Nice work!

Kathy, this is nice creative work in making a composite. Perhaps it is my laptop but I think it might help to increase the brightness.
Keep at your composites!
Jan has a good idea. |

Brad, I like your humming bird which is sharp and the stream which has the milky texture. As this is a composite, perhaps you could move the humming bird over to the right side so it is flying into the center of the image or else flip it on the left side so once again it would be flying into the image.
The other members have good ideas also.

Sue, thanks for the comments. I agree with you but couldn't think of a way to clone out the green stem as it is on the background image. I should have had the model move slightly so that the green stem was not in front of her face when I took the picture. |

Hi Brad, I'm in your group 41. This has a wonderful surreal feel. How did you so skillfully blend the layers so there are no distinct edges?
Thanks in advance, Henry |
