Jamie, you nailed the temperature/weather conditions with your wonderful image! My mind surges with memories of sunrise cross country skiing and first runs on trackless slopes. Black and white is perfect for this.
What if you took a small section of this and blew it up so you felt you were going into the forest and getting a load of snow on your head and shoulders? You could make a vertical of the trees on the right margin or the second grouping just to the left of the right margin grouping. Well, maybe you couldn't walk that close or have a cropped blowup hold together but it is a thought.
Togwatee Pass? Is that west of Jackson Hole, Wyoming? I have been in Jackson Hole in the summer but my skiing has been Colorado and Utah. |

Ah, Prakhar, you are getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. That is good! I like the stark colors and the curving walkway. Your HDR processing really worked.
Now, about the framing, I would have a personal preference to shoot including somewhat less of the green and slightly more of the blue, perhaps rotating the camera slightly counter clockwise to get more of the walkway going across the image. To me the red verticals are of less importance to the composition. I say all of this not standing there and knowing what could be done. Composition is such a subjective thing - you have done a magnificent job! Keep at your experimentation! |

Bai, this composite really works. The watchtower stands out and the figures show how many people there are. You do a wonderful job with night scenes. |

Andrew, great capture of intensity and motion. The cropping is perfect and the out of focus background make the rider stand out. There isn't a thing I would change. |

Curtis, an amazing image of this iconic Utah location. Warm light from the setting sun highlights the horizon, the cliff face, and the three groups of figures. i would like to have a print of this on my wall.
I have no suggestions other than to take out the slight circular reflection to the left of the distant spire.
Nice work!

Brad, the snowflakes do help integrate him into the scenery and as such my comment to clone them off his clothing is incorrect.
Great photo. |

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for your comments. Your suggestion for toning down the yellow leaves is good. This is a stand along impression of fall and part of my efforts to get away from straight photographs and become more artistic, in this case playing with filters. I have printed it as a stand alone 20x30 print which is on an easel in our living room so I can examine it daily and get additional comments from visitors. The print is held with clips to a piece of white foam core so as I print, I can put up new images very simply and easily. |

Lisa, this is a nice stark image which would frighten away any hungry predatory bird. The meticulous transform warp and liquify really make this stunning!
I would second Brad's comments. |

Sue, your imagination overflows with wonderful ideas! You certainly have a lot of haloween articles to use in your creations. I like the sharp crispness of all the elements and the cat's baleful stare.
Flame rendering - I have never used it and don't know where it is. Obviously you take great pleasure in thinking up themes and carrying them out. Nice work!
Brad has a good suggestion. |

Brad, adding some black accents is a good suggestion which I will have to try. |

This is really a wonderful portrayal of Chinese acrobats who are so talented! I am curious - were there that many hula hoops in use that could be captured in one exposure or is this a multiple exposure/composite?
The Topaz Glow really adds to the image. |

Brad, this is really a wonderful job of composting a surfer across the sky! The surfer really looks to be a part of the background.
Would it be helpful to clone out the stars that shine on the surfer? |
