Hi Karen,
Thanks for the suggestion to use the eraser tool at different opacities. |

Andrew, I agree with you. I need to work on how to merge layers. Do you have any suggestions? |

Karen you notched the human interest or should I say dog interest! The intensity of the dog is amazing. The position of the dog coming into the center of the image is right on and the wave line going diagonally off to the upper left builds the action. Nice!
Prakhar and Andrew have good suggestions. Your brightening version put in more snap. |

Curtis, I really like the green moss on the rail and the receding lines of the rail and road into the background. Excellent!
Now if this were mine, i would be tempted to crop in on the bottom and right side but that is just a personal preference. I also think Prakhar has a good suggestion.

Jamie, you did a wonderful job in Lightroom pulling out a beautiful black and white image. Your cropping captured the essence and your background is much better than the darkness of the original. Nice work! |

Bai, you are a master at night photography which I rarely do.
I wanted to play with your image so I opened it in PS CC, then used the camera raw filter to do the following: effects>dehaze 51, details>noise reduction>Luminance to 100%, Basic adjustments whites + 30, clarity, vibrance, and contrast played with. Here's the result: the noise is removed but the image has taken on a milky appearance and may not be as sharp. I don't think this is an improvement to what you have done but rather a variation. What do you think?

Prakhar, what a wonderful creative image you have conceived and carried out. The stem reflection, the soft colored lighting, the lemon slice, and the stark white of the martini all work together in a unified yet starkly simple image. I am tempted to immediately have a martini, one of my favorite rarely used drinks. The soft warm background color reminds me of the warm colors so evident throughout India. I have no corrective suggestions to make.
As an aside, I have twice traveled as a tourist to your beautiful country of India. As I read your bio I wish that I had included your city of Lucknow. India has such diverse cultures and backgrounds leading up to the current industrial expansions, all making it a charming, vital country to experience. |

Hi Andrew, this captures some of the interest of a race, I assume horses. As I have not been to British horse races, I find it quite interesting. I like the woman in the white dress in the background as she adds another element of the race scene. The tight cropping works.
What would happen if you lightened the image slightly as this looks like a rainy day?

Lisa, I am impressed with your finding this in a junk yard and using Topaz Glow to improve it.
There are lots of possibilities: as another possibility I cropped another section of your final image.

Yolanda, I really like the composition of this image. The original is a nice capture but the final drafting with the simplified blue background is a cleaner, most appealing composition. The single blossom in the lower right is a nice counterpoint to the four blossoms.
Brad and Barbara have interesting suggestions. |

Brad, I immediately do get the feeling of an alien fossil attacking the beach from the ocean. Magnificent!
I have no suggestions other than the people on the beach could be cowering but of course that isn't possible.
The comments of the others are well taken. |
