Andrew, the tulip is confusing. I spent several hours trying to redo the image but it defies me. |

Yes, Bai, the green is too bright. This past week I tried to redo the image but can't seem to do it. |

Prakhar, yes the flower is not as distinct as it should be. |

Curtis, this is three layers, the flower, the flower flipped 180 degrees vertically, and a third layer with pseudo water.

This is great composition with the curve of the bridge and path leading into the background. I like the sharpness of the railing on the right hand side.
This is great! Another variation might be a biker or hiker on the trail.
I also tried cropping in on the right side to the post but I don't think it made any difference. |

Jamie, this is an exquisite capture including the rain drops! Now how to improve it subjectively. I think for me I would like the rose to be sharper but this may have been impossible due to wind. Could you immobilize the stem with wire supports? Could you use a faster iso and therefore faster shutter speed to make the image sharper? Could you use focus stacking if the stem is immobilized? I really like the shallow depth of field which throws the background out of focus but would just like the rose a little sharper.
Jamie has a good suggestion.

Bai, you captured the feel of mountains as it is getting to dusk including the street lights being on. It is a quiet, peaceful scene which I would like to visit. The mist leads my eyes into the middle and background. The two lights in the foreground I have thought about - should they be cloned out? No, I don't think so for they attract one's eye as a starting point followed by the mist leading one further into the image.
Nice work! |

Prakhar, you have caught the height of the action and even set the location by including the heads of the spectators in front of you.
What would happen if you increased the contrast slightly?
I would like to see how this looked in color for the costrumes and background must have bee very spectacular.
Wonderful image! |

I like all the excitement and action going on here. The players are exhibiting great tension in their facial expressions. They are bent over showing that they are changing direction. The two background players are watching intently how the play is going to work out.
One could say the red line should be cloned out. But I think it adds color and drama and matches the red of the player's jersey. In the background, the nets, cars and people add depth and show this is a very active location.
Andrew, you have captured great drama! As to sharpness, I think it is acceptably sharp and didn't note it until I read your comment. |
