Curtis, this is a perfect capture of two fawns alert to what you are doing.
To improve this you could clone out the four or more light spots in the vegetation and perhaps crop in on the fawns.
The detailed comments of those above me are much more helpful and insightful. |

Jamie, this stunning! How insightful to use the black lining of a coat to produce a dark background. I think the orchid is stunning, sharp and well lit. You could blow this up into a poster!
Curtis and Andrew have good ideas which I would second. |

I really like the feel of this image, the milky water flowing over the stone ditch and the fishing boat in the background. If you try this again, see how it would feel if the fishing ship was going toward the center of the picture rather than away toward the side.
Curtis has some good ideas. |

Andrew, it was the moon in the sky. Your comments are helpful. The left hand lighting does not look real and should be dealt with but in reality we were using only one powerful battery operated light to paint the church and this is how it came out.
The branch I included to lend the perception of depth of field but it does cover too much of the front of the church.
I will go back and try this again but will have to purchase a light as it belonged to another photographer. |

Fascinating shot! You caught the feeling of this alpha male probably standing his ground.
I don't know how the original looked but your post processing is right on, good color balance, sharp on the elephant, soft on the background. Perfect! |

Andrew, I like the action and blurred effect of this image. It would be nice to see the canoeist but that may not have been possible. Great shot!
Jamie and Curtis have thoughtful comments. |
