Curtis, may you always go out to see what you can find! How wonderful of the mill owner to provide a venue for graffiti artists to work in. I like what you did.
Just to provide a slightly different subjective rendition I cropped on the left, added some brightness and contrast, and attempted to reduce the blue cast reflection from the overhead cloudy sky. By cropping, the walkway is not down the center of the image. What do you think? |

Jamie, may you always turn around and look for another photo that you weren't expecting! This image makes me curious. Where is the path leading to around the corner? What is on the other side of the stone wall? The line of the stone wall receding into the background builds energy in the image.
Suggestions? None really. I might have lightened the tunnel slightly to see more detail but that's a photographers choice.
Nice! |

Bai, this is another one of your magnificent night time images. I find the composition excellent. The fireworks are in the top third of the image and the bridge leading in from the left adds a dynamic feel.
Suggestions? Well, I don't really have any except I would ask was it your intention to have a slightly brownish cast to the image? I would image that the bridge actually was more pure white in color. As to the comment of Curtis, I personally like the piece of land in the lower left corner, something that is in the foreground to imply depth of field to the background. Isn't art wonderful - everyone has their own opinion.

Prakhar, I like this image and your concept of capturing the woman and prayer flags which are so colorful. I would make some minor suggestions which are subjective and arbritary. You have the feeling of a snowstorm but perhaps you could lighten the scene in post processing. The woman is wonderful to add the feeling of life to what would otherwise be a static image. I don't know what was on the left side of your image but if you could had some space that the woman was walking into it would be more interesting than her walking out the left of the frame.
Prakhar, I have been twice in India, both times some years ago. I believe I may have been in Leh but my 82 year old memory is very poor. When I have time I will go back in my notes and pictures to see if that was so. I Googled your city of Lucknow and found pictures that were very interesting. You must have lots of photographic opportunities so I look forward to more of you images.
Hmm, coming into my memory is the name Ladek in the mountains which I believe I visited. I will have to check this out.

Andrew, I like this, perhaps something of a Turner landscape painting. I also liked your idea of cropping, so I cropped off some of the left side and some of the bottom. This retains the reflection of the clouds and puts more emphasis on the buildings and also moves them more to the right in the image. I usually like lots of clouds but many people do not. This is subjective. What do you think? |
