Judi, Lime Kiln Lighthouse really captures the tranquility of dusk. The foreground rock, lighthouse, and clouds are all sharp while the water has a feel of motion due to your slow shutter speed. Great image! |

Jamie, this is a nice, moody image of an ancient truck! I like the way you cropped out the vertical line in the original line. As I look at the truck, note the front wheels are turned toward the left. I don't know what was to the left of the truck but if there was nothing, then I would have taken the original including more space the the truck could be turning into.
The color balance - at first I did not like it but upon reflection I think it adds a moody look.
Now after reading the above comments I think Andrew has some great suggestions. |

Bai, I really like this view of Tan Sui and the river! The framing using the tree branches really sets the scene. The HDR processing greatly improves the original image. The color cast puzzles me. I prefer the original color cast which does not have the greenish yellow cast.
Well, now reading the comments of the other group members I see there are cropping suggestions. As to cropping, I would crop a little off the bottom but leave all the branches in. I guess we all have different opinions but I think your cropping is fine.

Hi Andrew,
This is a perfect image for black and white! I like the wisps of steam. Suggestions - none really. You could lighten slightly the right hand engine to show more detail but I don't really think that is necessary. Nice work!
Susan and Judi have good comments. |
