Neat idea, I think I agree with the others for smaller sunglasses and perhaps leave the sun dial out. |

I was just trying to reflect the title of the picture (some times I can be too literal). Perhaps better to call it something like landscape with a tree.
I agree that rules are meant to be broken - actually there is no "scientific" justification for the rule (and sometimes an image can work as well with the subject in the centre).
I've taken the liberty of another crop - what do you think? |

Well seen, and a good capture. Have you tried it in black and white? |

Nice shot. I think Don's crop is better but that's up to you. I am easy with the original clouds (don't forget that if entering competitions the inserted sky must be one you have taken, not one supplied by Adobe). |

Well seen and captured. The crop is right to exclude the foal. Whether one needs the river in the foreground is debatable. |

Lone trees are always interesting- begs the question how has it survived? Personally I don't think the empty space on the left hand side is really needed, after cropping one can still see it's a lone tree and with more emphasis on the pleasant hills in the background. But that's just me. |

Nice scene with lots of interest. I agree with Don, maybe better with a 1/4 or 1/2 a second exposure to really blur the river. |

Nice scene. Not sure I like the magenta colour but you were there. My only suggestioin would be to add a bit of contrast. |
