34 May 24 Comment I look at this and have difficulty recognising the duck and wondered if a less colourful bird would be better. But very nice image. May 22nd
34 May 24 Comment Very clever combination of images - most effective. May 22nd

40 May 24 Comment Must say "my" version looks most anaemic - sorry May 22nd
40 May 24 Comment Dramatic sunset. Its a matter of personal preference but I think the treatment is a bit over the top (OTT). it would have been nice to have some reflections of the trees in the water- this is missing. I've fiddled with the pic in Lightroom. I don't think the empty space on the left hand side really adds anything. To me the shot is underexposed by about 2 and half stops. I also adjusted for shadow detail and auto white balance, then added some dehaze and increased the orange tone. I've also cropped. What is odd is that after all that there appears to be some blue water in the shadows on the right hand side which probably doesn't add anything but is certainly different.
I would have liked to have seen your original image.

40 May 24 Comment I visited this place a few years ago and took a lot of photographs - we were more fortunate with the sunshine.
Nice picture and good treatment. I like Don's version too. I prefer all sharp but that's a matter of opinion. A shame about the weather - it would have been better with more sun but you get what you get.

40 May 24 Comment Perfect! May 22nd
40 May 24 Comment I recall having a coffee in Sausalito on the way to Napa Valley in 2006.
The treatment is fine. You presumably cloned the sailing boat out? Andy Hayes suggested to me the 8:3 "letter box" format and I think this works well. I do think having sharp water as a foreground to the misty city is better. I thought about a mono transform myself but I like the blue.

40 May 24 Comment I would have been tempted to avoid including the soil and the flowers cut off at the edges. Your treatment of the flower is quite dramatic. I like Don's treatment/ May 22nd
40 May 24 Comment Thank you for your comments and sharing the stamp. It was all taken in one single shot. May 22nd
