Yes these repeated patterns are very striking, especially with the brilliant green colours. There are a couple of darker leaves on the right hand side on the margin of the image and I would be tempted to lighten them or clone them out. But that's just me! |

A really interesting piece of history, sad to see the buildings in this state but that's progress.
I think the inclusion of detail on the outside buildings certainly lifts the image as does the increase in overall vibrance. Good job. |

You have certainly inproved the image. I prefer both Jim's and Gunter's take on this but no suggestions myself. |

Very dramatic! Yes the red / orange wave is an interesting contrast to the blue of the sea. I wondered if the pink hue of some of the water would be better as white - just a thought |

Thanks everyone for your comments. Having looked at it a second time I agree it's too "grey". It needs the dark areas blackening up and some more vibrance. |

For me the central portion especially on the right hand side is good and its an effective treatment but I am not keen on the brown outside area. |

I struggle with this one as the plants are interesting but my eye is drawn to the pier (road bridge?) on the horizon. Perhaps better to take a shot without including the bridge? |

Good shot and nicely processed. Looks OK to me. |

Nice shot, great smoke. Treatment in post is good. Perhaps a shot taken a few seconds later might be even better. |

Nice shot and unusual. Great reflections. The white floaters are blown out, not sure this matters. Is there a slight tilt to the horizon? My only suggestion would be to clone out/crop out the white bit on the front right hand side which catches the eye. |

Then remove colour artefacts and enable lens profiles. Then convert to mono in PS. I haven't played around with the roof reds, for example, but one could do this to taste obviously. The looks a more natural although I suspect there is some over sharpening but I wanted to improve the detail in the wood. I haven't done any cropping. |

Nice picture, interesting historical lighthouse and a great pile of driftwood which really adds to the landscape. Sky is a bit OTT for me. I haven't attempted to reproduce "film grain" using software, I believe some apps can mimic the grain of various films like HP5 but having ruined rather too many negatives with inappropriate development in the past, I try to avoid grain especially in monochrome. But that's just me.
I've taken the liberty of re-processing the original colour in LR. It looks a bit overexposed to me. I set WB to auto, underexposed by -1.5 stops, added +32 of dehaze, sharpen +49, radius 1.0, detail 39, luminance 50% save as a small sRGB in colour. |

Very attractive travel shot which sets the scene - I have never been there but it looks worth the travel time. My suggestions would be to lighten the shadow areas; also there is a light fawn building on the left hand side middle and I would be tempted to crop it off or darken it down - it catches my eye too much. |

Very striking and good to capture something interesting when there is an image appearing suddenly and short-lived outside.
I like this image except that the icy margin on the purple flower is missing at the bottom which for me rather stands out. I've also got to say I'm not over-fond of the background but that's just me. |
