Thanks for the comments. I am not enamoured with the result myself but wanted to get a reaction to the contours treatment experiment. I think it would be better to tone down the blue "lake" in the middle and crop off some of the left hand side. |

Very striking. My only suggest would be to crop off some of the right hand side which I think is redundant.
This is a creative study group; I don't see the point in posting an image without the original. |

The original is very powerful but I like the treatment with Topaz which works well. Actually I think the tyre in the foreground is appropriate as it gives depth (front to back) to the image. |

Fun image. It's in two parts with the seascape at the bottom and the flying dog/birds in the sky. I think better to have less sky with the dog flying closer to the canoeist and the seascape. Also does the seascape need straightening? |

Ian, I don't agree that your "pals" image isn't creative, you shot a scene with a camera, changed the viewpoint, cropped and then changed it to a graphic image. Quite different to the original and it really is "altered reality".
My only comment is that my eye is drawn to the button-like objects at the bottom and on the eyebrow, which I would clone out.
Keep up the good work!

Great. As the others have said its a fun picture. The child addition is fine but I wonder if all the others detract a bit i.e. too much. Just a thought. |

I think it might be a better shot taken a few steps to the right with a view along the path and through the trees. Worth going back to reshoot. |

But still a lovely shot, have you entered it in a club competition? |

Thanks for the suggestions. I wondered about a tighter crop - what do you think? |

Great shot, well done. To be picky the masts of the ships are leaning because the camera wasn't quite horizontal and I would be tempted to straighten that. |

I really like Don's transformation - better. I wondered about cropping to a letterbox (8:3) format but actually I like it as it is. |

I agree with the suggestions to crop off the left hand side. |

It's a bit soft. I think would be better if you had got the shot a millisecond later when it was out of the water. |

Nice shot, well positioned and a good memento of the occasion. I would be tempted to crop the people on the right hand and left hand sides off but that's just me |

Great shot. My only suggestion would be to do a small crop to remove the light edge at the top. |
