Very novel, a neat idea. I like the spectrum colours in the water but those in the sky are a bit heavy for me, especialy on the top right. |

The bare branches at the top left hand side are different lacking pink flowers and wonder about cloning them out or adding so blossoms there. The pink colours are certainly not real and (for me) this is certainly an altered reality image. It doesn't work for me on this occasion though. |

Welcome to the group. Unusual picture, I think darkened corners would work better than lightened ones, but that's just me |

Very impressive, my only suggestion would be to lighten it a touch. |

Great pic, nice treatment. Maybe just straighten the verticals though? |

Good treatment, I can't suggest anything to improve it. |

You've taken this with the correct exposure not to get light trails. Exposure is just right with enough detail in the land at the bottom. I like the slightly orange area on the horizon and this works well so well seen and shot. |

I wonder if a slightly wider view would be preferable. |

This is an attractive image which, for me, works better in monochrome. You have straightened it up nicely. You could crop it slightly so that the hand rail goes diagonally from corner to corner but I am not sure this is such a good idea. |

An interesting subject and well taken. A nice piece of history. I think you have improved the picture by replacing the sky, that's nicely done. To be picky the circular saw is neither sharp nor blurred; my preference (next time) would be to use a slower shutter speed to blur the saw blade but that's just me. |

Great subject. I like the treatment in post bringing out the detail. My feeling is that the brown building on the left isn't as interesting as the one on the right, and maybe include a bit of sky instead to give it some context. I would liked to have seen more of the rounded windows at the bottom which have been cut off. Also the lighting is a bit flat and the buildings would look different at another time of day. A thought anyway. |

I have to confess I didn't see the image inside the hole in the sculpture until afterwards. |

I do like the square crop and also the cloning out the programme boxes on the wall and the drain cover on the floor. Don't know if its better |

Thank you for your kind comments. I lined it up to include the left hand portrait and wanted to include the right hand figure too although arguably cropping off the right hand side as Don suggested does make for a simpler picture. Yes, the two sculptures could be having "a conversation" - that is part of the effect the gallery curator was trying to produce. I think the attendants talking also contribute to the overall effect. |
