Neat idea but the blurry bits on the butterfly and the patchy background rather spoil it for me. |

Not quite sure about this, technically very clever and it is definitely altered reality but stones not being sentient beings rather spoils it for me. Me being literal again.
I don't agree with your judges. I always think of the composer Sibelius who said "a statue has never been set up in honour of a critic". So do your photography to please yourself. |

This is a creative take on the original which definitely improves it. I agree with the other comments about the adjusting the circular base. |

A great trio. I liked the puns in the text especially the "sweet wrapper" :)
Very imaginative and creative and a great idea for a club competition - I hope you did well. |

I think removing the fawn area at the top would be an improvement, not particularly bothered about the fingers. |

Nice treatment - a big improvment on the original. I agree about removing the little black lines; not so sure about the "star effects but that's just me. |

You're right about the back wall, when I look again it needs darkening down a bit. Thanks. |

Pleasant effect, I am with Don in wanting to whack up the vibrance a bit. Is there a slight tilt in this image? |

Very nice. I think the man on the beach really adds to the mystery of the picture. I think straighten the horizon and perhaps crop the bottom off slightly to give more of a square image and I think you have a winner. |

Removing or leaving in the people is arguable. Actually it's a great sky and I think this tips me towards preferring the colour version although both are good. I like your treatment of the monochrome version. |

This is an attractive shot despite what you had hoped. Lovely sky, silhouettes work all right, not sure I would change very much at all although I appreciate not what you planned.
These wild birds probably more attracted to feeding on the corn in the fields than sitting on lakes so unfortunate. You didn't mention if you were in the hides by dusk, I understand these species can be nervous because of hunters. Maybe a better attempt next year?
I shoot with a 300mm f4 Olympus lens often with 1.4x convertor, almost always hand held. It is uncomfortably heavy but hand held gives me more freedom. Sometimes I use a bean bag in hides. |

Great capture, I definitely agree with zooming in on the faces also darkening the grasses a touch. |
