Great idea and works well. I see the comments points about the lack of a point of interest, perhaps intensify the reds? Given me some ideas to try when (if) I eventually get out. I think the sky is fine but wonder about just taking some off the bottom. |

Original 2 is nice but I prefer the final and can't make any suggestions to improve it. |

Novel idea. I agree with Mike about the black of the lens merging with the background. |

Interesting treatment. I think I would prefer it all colour or all monochrome but that's personal. |

Good treatment which is attractive. My only suggestion would be to clone out the white line right at the top. |

The original is quite difficult because of the background but I think this treatment is a definite improvement and very attractive. |

Topaz had a piece of software about 5 years ago called Studio which had a series of filters which could be used to modify existing images. I think some were actually generated by users. Subsequently they came up with Studio 2 which wasn't the same at all and the original Studio now isn't supported any more AFAIK, which is a shame as its my go to imaging manipulation software. |

I did wonder about a crop like this. Thanks |

24mm FFE obviously gives a wider view but also gives more of a "flattened" effect. After going to St Petersburg I got a f2.8 24-84 (FFE) lens and the larger aperture is also helpful. |

Looking at the image a second time I just wondered if it would be better if the light green leaf in the bottom right was darkened, cloned out or even cropped out. It catches my eye too much. |

It's a bit of a gruesome subject but certainly a photographic challenge. As it is, it is difficult to identify the doll in the picture. The doll itself is quite small in the frame so it gets lost. I would suggest cropping in to concentrate on the body. Also perhaps do a bit of "gardening" to remove some of the leaves. Might benefit from a bit of flash lighting to illuminate it better. Hope this helps. |

To be honest I was a lot younger and fitter than I am now and I just pointed my camera upwards. My main concern was ensuring I didn't have my pocket picked :) by thieves.
Certainly an amazing subject to see but at the time it was very busy with other tourists and there was too little time to lie on the floor.
Comments at my camera club was "too busy" and "the chandelier detracts". |

Antelope canyon is very photogenic and has been visited by many other photographers so you have some competition here.
Unfortunately, the highlights are blown, the foreground is also soft. I am looking round for a centre of attention and I don't see one, my eye just wanders. IMHO the image needs to be very sharp (did you use a tripod?) and would have benefited from HDR treatment. A tight crop like the attached might work a bit better, what do you think? |

Great shot, position is right, nicely in focus and you've frozen the movement, and a nice background. I agree with the others that the bird is "grey" rather than "white" - maybe just underexposed. |

Another very attractive picture. A nice upright sunflower right at the front with other sunflowers flopping behind. Only minor point is you have slightly cropped the bottom petal which detracts a bit. Easy to correct though. |

I do feel that something has been lost in the change to black and white. The colour image is so much more attractive and appealing. The sun is the right place. Maybe needs a bit of lightening of the banks at the back but this is a lovely image. Only minor point is there is an apparent tilt which would be easy to alter. |

Congratulations on your new lens - it gets good reviews and will surely help you in your nature photography. Although the heron's eye is nice and sharp the bird overall looks a bit soft to me. I agree with the other comments, especially the strange shadowy area behind the bird. I think you might find using a monopod with this lens beneficial. Also, the small branches of the tree on the left look a bit obviously chopped off; maybe better to clone out all of it. I don't know if this image has been cropped, but I feel the heron would benefit from including more water (as that's what they do is to stand in water). The background of small trees isn't great so really you need to wait until the bird moves somewhere else more attractive to make your exposures. Unfortunately patience comes with being a nature photographer. |

We've been on several Baltic cruises to St Petersburg from the UK, visiting other countries as well. There was a choice of excursions organised by the Cruise line and we eventually managed to get one going inside the church. |

It was shot with a 28mm (FFE) lens. I think if I was shooting now I would be using a 24mm and also go for HDR. |
