Unusual effect. I think perhaps the title isn't right as I look at the "friend" at the left hand side and there is no phone so who is the right hand person phoning. So perhaps a phone on the left hand side would work better. Just a thought. 		Jul 21st

40 Jul 20 Comment It is a bit dark and flat for my taste, it really emphasises the importance of the light in landscape. The lighter sea overwhelms the darkness of the coast. Would it be better in monochrome? Also is there a slight tilt? I would be tempted to crop off the right hand side. I agree with Alison's comments. Jul 22nd

I don't remember the little light area at the time of shooting, I wondered if it might be the moon but agree it is a distraction best removed. 		Jul 17th
40 Jul 20 Comment It's very difficult for me to contribute anything to this striking image. It's a really interesting abstract - I think I can see a bird at rest or an eye so it works for me. Happy with it unchanged myself. I don't know if it will get anywhere in competitions but who knows with judges? Jul 14th

You have a white streak on the right hand side which needs taking off.
There appears to be a tree blocking the route to the open sea on the left hand side which looks a bit odd to me; perhaps best to crop this altogether, just leaving the red boat. 		Jul 12th

I would be tempted to darken the breast feathers and perhaps do a slight trim off the left hand side to remove the bright plant stalks to make it more of a square format. 		Jul 12th

Well spotted. I think good to record something of the desolation of moving from a (happy) home of many years and this has captured it well. But I think the original gives a better feel including more of the emptiness of the room and the clutter of wires. I would be tempted to straighten the verticals and maybe do it in black and white rather than colour. 		Jul 12th
