40 Mar 19 Comment These events are super photo ops. When I went to the ABQ fiesta (it coincided with the PSA Conference) we were advised to avoid tripods as they get in the way - with the number of onlookers it can be a bit of a scrum. Maybe try a monopod?

Very nice shot with lovely tones on the left hand balloon and the darker inflating balloon in the right hand side is a very interesting contrast. I would definitely tone down the bright van on the left hand side (or just clone it out).
You shot at 1600 ISO, 1/3s and there is movement in the people, I would experiment at a much higher ISO (but don't forget to reduce it (soon) as the sun rises surprisingly quickly at dawn. 		Mar 21st
