The original was put into a salon in December and was accepted; What should do with it if I were to decide to crop it. Does it become another picture, another title? |

This is really neat, I wish I had thought of it for our inter-club competition next month. Good positioning of the birds and they are going up the diagonal. Interesting mixture of mono and colour. Good show. |

Yes, a neat idea. Maybe darken the bottom left hand corner would be better. |

Agree with Mark. I am not so fond of the dark corners, would it be better to crop in a touch? |

Yes, an unusual effect which works well. |

I think this is a lovely picture, I really like the creepy "tanglewood" effect on the branches. The colours of the trailer are great. And I agree with Jerry about the roof. |

I agree, however, now I am just copying someone else's artwork. |

A really neat idea that works well. I just wonder if it might be better to avoided the orange reflection on the grater so that it was all silver but that is nit-picking. |

Well captured and good to see the bird doing something. It would be nice to know what species it is, friends think it could be a Red Tailed Hawk or a Cooper's Hawk but difficult to ID without knowing the size. If the breast is meant to be speckled white, adding a stop exposure would lighten it. Also there is a near horizontal blob on the back fence which grabs the eye and might be better cloned out. |

Welcome to the group, Alison. A dramatic shot which really grabs the viewer. Super-wide angle lenses are perfect for this sort of photography (and not just for newbies).
For me the main point of interest is the monorail and the stucco house doesn't really have same impact (it's small in the frame) and is a bit "lost". I think the message of urban change would be better if you got in close to the stucco house with some modern skyscrapers in the background instead.
I am not sure about including the pedestrian and I would be tempted to clone out the hood of the right hand car. Also, I would lighten the shadow area of the stucco house.
Hope this helps. |

I think here that photostacking 5 shots wasn't enough, and you need to go much further back into the flower (I recently saw one attempt where 30 shots were amalgamated). The top right hand side really spoils it for me. |

I think the blue at the top is fine, it contrasts well with the rest of the picture. The flow marks do look interesting.
Would the image be improved by adding a bit more exposure, say +1 stop? I think that would be better.
Actually, to me the overall picture looks a bit soft, I am not sure whether it's camera shake or the point of focus is off - what part were you focusing on? |

This has caught the walker at the right point of his stride. He is positioned well in the frame. Good exposure, sharp enough and the image works well in monochrome. Good shot! |

I don't have any title or "how I did it" for this image |

I have to say that initially I was thinking along the same lines as Mike and wished to crop off the log in the foreground but whilst the cropped image is good, I think the image with the log is better.
