This works for me but like the others, I don't like the "cracks" so much. |

That's really striking, I can't think of anything negative to say about it - well done. |

Lovely effect. My only suggestion (again) is maybe darken the corners slightly. |

Great picture and the postcard treatment is such a nice idea. |

I too think the original is striking. I am impressed with the final version as well - difficult to make any critical points. |

I felt that the chasing sidecar added a bit of tension to the image of the two riders at the front. I cut off the top of the helmet because of an obtrusive background. Probably easier to re-shoot the race! |

I just took three handheld shots using a wide angle lens and then merged them using the merge facility in Lightroom, then cropped off the extraneous bits. |

Thanks, I wonder now if this could do with a bit more vibrance? |

It's a nice sky and the low landscape view is OK - it's a personal preference. Overall, this seems to be lacking tonal range to me; too dark and not contrasty enough. The posts should be easily removed in LR using the spot removal tool. I actually prefer the original with increased vibrance. |

Positioning is nice, personally not convinced about slow shutter speeds and running water. I think this would have been better taken on a brighter day. The processed picture is more cheerful but perhaps a little over-cooked (but that is a matter of taste). |

Overall I agree with Susan's comments. I certainly would be tempted to tone down the buildings at left hand side of the dock and maybe the highlighted line in the middle. Perhaps also increase overall vibrance but it's a super picture and well captured. The lighting is great - makes me wish I could go back there! |

Good for you for getting up so early! I like the geometric stripe-effect here - it grabs the attention. The exposure is skillful too.
I would be tempted to lighten (slightly) the shadow area on the beach. Also, to be picky, there something in the bottom left hand corner which would be better taken out (I don't mind the triangular shadow at bottom). There is also a slight upward curvature of the horizon due to lens distortion which jars - easy to correct in Lightroom (if you have it). Hope this helps. |

Welcome to the group.
Nice picture of a daffodil, good positioning, well exposed, nicely in focus and stands out from the background. I agree that the shoot at the bottom is intrusive. But the actual background is also not ideal, the two diagonal stripes and the highlights really spoil the picture for me. The point about photographing plants is that they don't run away so you should have lots of time to concentrate on getting the subject AND the background right (some people use a piece of suitable cloth or a camo jacket as background).
There is a "spot removal" tool in Lightroom (Adobe have very helpful videos on doing this) to remove unwanted parts of the picture but to be honest I find it much simpler to use PS Elements' "spot healing brush tool" using the context aware facility (again there are lots of videos online). I hesitate to say it's easy but even I find this very straightforward. There is probably something similar in Photoshop but I haven't really got to grips with this programme since getting CC last year. |
