I too would have straighten the building and while composing this photo I would have kept a little more space around it. |

What a beauty, but I needed a little more depth of field to get more sharpness in the background and to the right too. |

I like the one that you have submitted as the main image. I like the foreground and more light falling on one side of the structure. Its the blank sky which I first noticed. Yes, please try not only a different time of the day but also a different season to get good impact of the sky. Did you try B & W. |

Looks like the same spot where I had the opportunity to make images way back in 1999.I had the film camera in those years. I could not visit it again during my second trip in 2015. I remember, the more you click, the less it is, so is the beauty of the Canyon.
As far as the image is concerned, to me the details of rocks are not as prominent as these should be. I think the reason is morning haze and the impact of filter. I also see too much of noise. Any way, you did try and must have made a few images. |

Its beautiful. Although you say you have cropped the image to make the Grebes look larger, but even otherwise these look bigger than what I have seen here in water bodies in and around my native city in North India. While birding at water bodies, we always look for the Little Grebes.
Well captured the action shot and the splash of water adds much needed interest to dancing pair. The image is sharp and colours look good. |

Its beautiful, Howard. The colours of the bird, the ripples in water and droplets in the air make me keep watching and admire the moment you have captured. Its background goes well with the bird.
Secondly, What made you click so many shots within the given time period. No doubt the burst mode of D500 is fantastic but when I bought lens for it, I instead went for Nikon 200-500 f/5.6. Comparatively, Tamron has a bit longer focal length and is lighter yet I preferred for the same brand.I had in my mind the dust issue with Tamron lens as a friend of mine has got it cleaned many times because according to him the lens sucks dust. And the area where we live gets dusty winds, especially in the Summer. No doubt he takes a lot of precautions but still he had the issue and discussed it with Tamron officials, who just got it cleaned for him.
Any way people are happy with it and am sure you too are. |
