Apart from darkening the magnolia just a little, I really love this image. I see it as an album cover on a family history scrap book. Beautiful. |

I too agree that the birds are better black. I was thinking that parts were too smooth so I like Georgianne's treatment and if it was too textured it could always have a lower opacity. |

Thanks, Steve. Don't worry, I have looked at longer lenses. Not sure if it will be this Christmas though. It was hard to bring the bird into focus without creating a lot of noise. |

The bird is a female Red-capped Robin. The male has a bright red cap and breast and the female is brown with a little red or rusty colour on her forehead. |
