Great composition, Jan, everything in it gives the viewer a chance to create a new story. I see the secret agent coming out of the underground from a meeting. He needed multiple keys to open the door to the underground. The clock says he is 5 minutes late leaving. The stairway will be his exit path. |

You have created an interesting sky with lots of color and shapes. The treatment of the beach gives that part of the image more life with the bright colors and red and green. However, I feel that the busy sky becomes the place where the eye goes due to the bright colors, lines and shapes rather than to the beach. The sky just seems to be out of place. |

Frans, you have a beautiful dancer placed in a scene with mood created by the rain and mist. the reflection gives good color to the image. The sharpness of the background seems to be competing with your dancer. Softening the background by blurring it a bit should help to improve this. A crop down from the top to remove some of the ordinary background should bring more emphasis to the dancer. And maybe softening the dancer a bit would give more mood to the scene. |

The color change to a black background and green subject creates a strong image. The areas of green with the foam interspersed gives the feeling of movement through the image. It gives me the feeling of plants (the foamy part) surrounded by leaves. Good work. |

Steve, your use of one bloom and bloom stalk to create your image was brilliant. Using a larger central blossom surrounded by smaller blooms with color variation created a lovely frame for the central blossom. The background works well to highlight the bouquet. However, in my opinion, I feel that the sharpness of the background flowers creates a distraction that pulls the eye away from the subject. I would soften/blur the background flowers somewhat and desaturate the color on the right and maybe soften the main bouquet slightly-just my idea. Your image is beautiful. |
