I certainly appreciate the rain problem. We have had our share of it recently. |

Gunter, this is an interesting crop. However, it does not create the feel that I was looking for. This is only about the flower. I wanted it to be about the whole plant which includes the leaves. Thanks for the input. |

Brian, the vertical configuration gives an entirely different feel. I really like this. I would probably flip it to anchor it in the right corner. Thanks for the new idea.

Good work, Brian. I initially missed the face in the sky. Steve's rays brought more attention to her and her importance. You have added original 1 to the hills, nicely. I agree that it is a bit much in the sky. Toning it down helps. |

Excellent combination of the three images, Jan. I think the greenery brings the 3 images together and gives the feeling of abstractness of the final image. Experimenting with the different blend modes definitely worked. You used blend modes that never work for me. |

Welcome, Frans, I hope you enjoy our group. Good job with the stitching and seamless combining of the images. Your final image shows good use of shadows and light. I might brighten up the rock wall and pipes. They seem to get lost in the image. |

Good job, Gunter, with the use of blend modes to combine the city buildings and the hydro lines. The V created by the hydro lines certainly brings you into the image. I do feel that the brightness of the hydro lines, especially as they near the point of the V, overpowers the darkness of the buildings. Maybe brightening the buildings or darkening the power lines would bring the image together better. |

Good job, Steve, with the use of plugins to create fading tulips vs fresh ones. Your treatment works well to show the past prime tulips and fresh blooms. I think I would like to see the same type of tulip rendered at past prime and fresh. Your background works well and is quite interesting. |

Beautiful image of the wallaby. I really like its intense concentration on the photographer. The background works well and the rocks give a nice lead in to the subject. |

Brenda, this is an outstanding image. The action with the birds is a perfect story. The trees would be a distraction to me. I would try to open the dark feathers up for more detail there. I would also try to bring some of the detail in the clouds back. |

Good job removing the background and isolating the flower. Black and white was a good choice, but I agree it is a bit dark. A stroke would help to separate the image from the dark background. |

Good capture of the warbler. I also prefer the tighter crop removing the flower on the right. The background is excellent without distractions. Little birds are hard to capture as the are always moving. |

Good story, Dean. The birds, especially the one on the left in flight, are beautifully shown. It is always difficult to capture small birds in flight, and you have done it perfectly. In addition to the birds, the dead tree has good texture and lines. |

Excellent image with no distractions. the gallinule is well positioned and well lit to show its beautiful colors. The image has motion, bird is sharp and face expression shows concentration to keep its balance. Great shot. |
