I would lower the highlights a bit, and maybe reduce the black in the blue just slightly (selective color). You want your subject to pop from the background. If you lighten the water too much, the subject will merge with the background. |

What an interesting bird. I agree that it is a bit soft and the bright white flowers are distracting. A crop would probably help to focus more on the bird and less on the surroundings. |

You caught an interesting moment with the cormorant and giant fish. I would crop a lot off of the left to bring the focus to the action. Then reduce shadows and increase clarity a bit. |

Your edits are an improvement over the original. You might consider removing the vignette from the petals of the flower and softening the shadow on the center of the flower. |

Nice capture, but the image needs a better focus, too many geese, not doing anything special. |

Good action capture, Dean. The exposure on the group of three seems to be better all round. I think you could bring the whites down and improve on the color of the feet and beak and improve the contrast by using the camera raw filter on the single bird. Removing the duck and tightening the crop is certainly an improvement. |

Terrific detail on underside of the top of the mushroom. The left side overall seems a bit bright. I agree that it would be helpful to brighten the shadows around the mushroom. It is a wonderful capture. |
