Good work, Jan. You have put together a very peaceful image and hand colored it beautifully. I do feel that the bird is still somewhat unrecognizable. |

Fran, you have presented an interesting idea here. Mother Nature has certainly been mistreated in recent years. Maybe this year of isolation, loneliness and more time for families will give people a better understanding of taking care of the environment. I tried to darken the highlights and increase presence of Mother Nature. You have a very good idea. Give it a bit more attention. |

I find that the individual elements of the image are interesting/intriguing. The old grave and marker remind me of many that I have observed in old cemeteries. However, it is difficult to understand the reason for placing the marker outside of the tunnel and the actual grave inside. The tunnel is well processed, but the placement of the profile of the soldier seems strange. The grave has lots of potential on its own but doesn't seem to work in this setting. Maybe an image where it is the star would be a better choice. |

Good job with this image, Alan. You have done a beautiful job of turning day to night and incorporating all of the elements seamlessly. The darkness of the image creates the emotion that gives us all a little bit of fear as to what will happen next. |

Steve, the daffodil, iris and crocus create a nice triangle for the bee to fly into. I do feel that the image would be improved if the background were a little bit more out of focus. That would give the three main flowers and bee more prominence. |

Brenda, the close up of the lily is quite good. It shows so much texture in the lily pads. I do feel though that the lily itself is too centered. It would be a better shot to have included more of the lily pad to the right and less of the ones on the left behind, but that is not a shot that you have. The wide angle crop from 3-13 is better than your original, however, I feel that it still has too much going on in the image. |

Good capture , Geoff, of the bird landing. The wing span adds to the capture. It is good that you have no overexposed whites. If you used your favorite software to brightened the overall whites of the bird and mask the brightest areas back to original, I feel that it would create a much more dynamic image. |

Brenda, in my opinion this is what is considered a record shot to show that you were there. Having used the lens closer to its telephoto end of 400mm to only focus on the center area with the flower and the giant lily pads in focus would have probably produced a better image. Personally, I would have given it a much tighter crop to only include the small center area that is focus in the center. |

Jacob, I agree that the image needs a center of interest. The greens are quite lovely and soothing, and the green carpet gives the image softness. Next time maybe there would be a flower or creature that would give a focal point. |

Pierre, it is nice that you found the whole family together. I feel that a much tighter crop would help the image, just a little more space on the left, as had been said. The background would benefit from some darkening to bring out the birds. The birds would benefit from some enhancement to the texture in the feathers, and the younger birds' faces could probably benefit from some dodging, so the eyes are more visible. |

Dean, it looks like there was a nice color palette that could probably be enhanced. The rocks on the right seem to have a lot of texture that could also be improved. It is nice that the rocks below the water level are visible especially in the front of the image. |

Wonderful action photo, Mervyn. The bird has good detail throughout. You were able to capture the photo with a non distracting background. The eye looks like it is popping out of the socket. Something is definitely disturbing this bird. |
