Fran, nice transition from the butterfly in the egg to the one finally flying off. The eggs are placed well and form a triangle that brings your eye through the image then up to the butterflies in flight. I do like that the image is bordering on monochrome with just a bit of yellow.
Welcome to our group. I'm looking forward to more of your stories. |

Jan, you have created such a fun, cute image. It is a breath of fresh air in these times. The bit of red on the kangaroo and bird work with the red of the car wheels to help move my eye through the image. Nice work. |

Excellent work, Lori. You have blended the colors and lighting seamlessly. It looks like this was an original image. Adding a dark threating sky certainly adds to the story. I like that you created a final image that seems to be in the early evening. It gives the image a much better mood. |

Georgianne, good work with the cow. You really have given her softness as well as detail. I also feel that the texture is too much on the cow, and she would look better with less or none. In my opinion, the texture in the background has too much sameness as the cow and makes the cow lose its importance as the focal point of the image. Something less busy that would give the cow her importance in the image would be my choice. |

Alan, a fine simple image. I think it was ingenious for you to place the sculpture and man in the large white area. It really makes them stand out in the image. You have also created a good since of scale for the elements. |

Beautiful work, Steve. The variegated colors in the pink flowers give lots of interest to the image. I love that the pollen is visible hanging off the stamens. The texture of the backlit pink gladioli petals defines them as your subject as they pop out of the frame. Using the muted white flowers as the background was a good idea. They finish the image nicely. |

I feel that this one makes the milky way the Hero and the darker trees and glow in the foreground finish it off. Now it is a beautiful image. |

Geof, good capture of this pretty little bird. The diagonal reed that it is perched on along with the slightly diagonal reed to the left, frame the bird nicely. You might consider a tighter crop to remove a good portion of the other reeds. This would focus on just the bird and two reeds. There is some nice movement in the water that you might be able to enhance. |

Good work with your night sky and the milky way. You worked the milky way well to enhance the colors. In my opinion your composite works well adding the glow below the tree line. My only suggestion would be to crop up from the bottom to revel only the dark trees eliminating the lighter ones, excellent work. |

Jacob, you found a lovely flower on a harsh day. you might consider a tighter crop and a heavy vignette and mask out the flowers. This would obscure the bright background. |

Pierre, good that you were able to capture this elusive bird. The bird is sharp with a highlight in the eye. You might consider a tighter crop to include just the bird. This would give you a better color palette. Then tone down the highlights and lighten the shadows on the bird. |

Good early morning capture, Dean. No blown out highlights in the sky, good color palette. The reflection in the water adds interest. Cropping towards a panorama was a good choice. |

Mervyn,
Good sky and really nice angle on the giraffes as they lean in toward each other. It is sharp enough to see the little hairs on the chin and along the necks, good job. |
