Jan, you have brought together such a homey, pastoral image. All of the elements fit together so well. Thanks for giving us something to smile about. |

Lots of fun, Helen. I see the kissing fish in a pond of red, white and blue. I have no idea how to create the spin without a blur. Keep looking and trying things. You may finally find it. Good job. |

Denise, first off, thanks for your work during covid. We are so glad to see you back this month. This is such a beautiful image. The lighting on your granddaughter is so beautiful. Her face is so well lit. The glow on her dress makes the image. |

wonderful work, Alan. The recreation of the building and removal of the tree are amazing. The frowning woman makes a perfect threesome with the shadows. |

I feel that the loneliness is shown by one single person in a room full of empty benches. |

Yes, the tightly cropped version is the best. The lower left flower petal (on left side) got blurred with all the revisions. And you have some edges with sharpening lines. Try reducing the opacity after using the high pass filter. |

Yes, the updated version is much better. And, yes the stem seems to be better closer to the corner, and it looks much cleaner, less cluttered with the stems cleaned up. |

Fantastic capture of the Darter skimming along the top of the water. You have good definition in the feathers of the outer wing and tail as well as detail on the head. I do feel that the bird is somewhat too dark. So the Camera Raw Filter was able to increase the detail in the bird. There are no distractions or over exposed highlights. You have a well defined reflection and nicely blurred background. |

Brenda, I agree with Mervyn to bring the flower stem into the lower left corner. The black and white works well. However, did you consider bringing back the color in the main flower. The Frangipani flower is so pretty when it is pink. |

Good job, Jacob. You have listened to our comments and applied what you have learned. You edited the file well and have an outstand result, good work. |

Pierre, you have found and captured a clean, sharp daffodil. The background is nicely blurred and sets the flower off nicely. |

Excellent and unusual capture, Dean. Frequently we find surprises after capturing an image. The flower provides a frame for the bee and spider. I do believe that it would improve the image if the bright yellow stamens were darkened a bit. A thin stroke would set the image off from the background nicely. |

Good choice, Mervyn on moving the calf to face the mother. This is a much better composition. Nice work to increase the contrast and bring out the texture. |

A judge that I admire said, "if you have a part of your image that is distracting along the bottom put it on the left. It will not be as obvious as it is on the right." Try it. |

The bird may appear to be taking off but instead this is just part of the dance on the water as the trip color is searching for fish. |

I usually flip an image to anchor it to the lower right corner. This image is higher due to the reflection. The orientation of the bird is typical of this species as they dance a cross the water as they look for fish under the surface. The water droplets in the water provide a frame for the bird and show the activity that is taking place. |
